My sister Wanda submitted this one for the 2019 edition of our family recipe collection. I’ve made chicken cordon bleu in the past but never with this methold. Sure looks to be way easier than rolling up each chicken breast. I also like the dijon parm sauce that’s included in the recipe. This is one I’m going to try!

2019, Cookies, Jessica

My youngest daughter, Jessica, made these cookies when I was visiting her in June 2019. These are some rocking cookies!!

I asked her to provide the recipe for the blog. The original recipe is from Crepes of Wrath. Unlike most other recipes you’ll find here, this one is unchanged from the original. Again, these cookies are excellent.

Ingredients

Clam chowder is another of our favorite meals during the colder weather months. This recipe is based on one that arrived in my email inbox about 3-months ago. Like most other recipes we try, we used it as a starting point and have modified it for our palates. The original recipe can be found on the Eating Well website by clicking here.

Have to say this is an easy, fast and very tasty recipe. It only takes about an hour total to put together fresh, homemade soup to impress yourself, family, and friends!

While visiting our dear friends Gary and Trisha in September 2019, they made us a fantastic fajita meal. It was fabulous! I mean these are probably the best tasting fajitas we’ve ever enjoyed!

Gary was kind enough to share their recipe with us. And, with their permission, I’m sharing it here. So, give it a try. It’s not hard to make and you’ll be rewarded with a blockbuster dinner!

In June 2019 we made an investment in a wood pellet smoker/grill. We choose the Daniel Boone model from Green Mountain Grills. The primary reason we chose this one over other smoker/grills is my first hand experience seeing it in operation while visiting my daughter, son-in-law, and their son. Their grill made impressive chicken and amazing chocolate chip cookies. Yes, chocolate chip cookies. I would never had thought using a smoker/grill to bake cookies. There’s just a hint of smoke flavor in the cookies. Very subtle but you can taste it. Anyway, I digress so back to the title of this post but I’ll post the cookie recipe in the near future.

Here’s another one from my goto lady for Korean recipes, Seonkyoung Longest. It’s an easy and very tasty dish. The recipe below is unmodified from her original one which you can find here.

In my notes, I let you know about some of the changes I’ve done to the recipe. How I change it depends upon what I’m hungry for and what the spicy beans will be served with. It’s a versatile recipe. So, get in here and give it a go!

2019, Colleen, Dinner, Soup, Vegetarian

My lady, Colleen, made this soup for me in early 2018. I took a sip and was wowed by the taste. We’ve made it several times since and I love the taste just as much as the first time.

I made this for my son and his family shortly after the first time Colleen made it for me. It turned out well except for a small boo-boo. When I purchased the spinach, I didn’t do a good job of reading the label. Instead of baby spinach, I picked out a spinach and kale combo. It worked but I didn’t care for the texture of the kale in the soup. Anyway, on to the recipe!

Cucumber kimchi I made just before creating this post. It’s yummy!

I enjoy kimchi which is interesting considering spicy was not something we had in our food growing up in north central Wisconsin.

This recipe is very quick and quite tasty. I snagged the recipe from my goto Korean recipe site Seonkyoung Longest. Here’s the link to the recipe on her site.
